{"id":105,"date":"2019-02-18T15:54:47","date_gmt":"2019-02-18T14:54:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.dataunderstanding.eu\/?page_id=105"},"modified":"2019-02-20T11:52:19","modified_gmt":"2019-02-20T10:52:19","slug":"learning-portal","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.archive-projects.edu-inno.bme.hu\/duck\/learning-portal\/","title":{"rendered":"Learning portal"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-background has-very-light-gray-background-color\">In the DUCK <g class=\"gr_ gr_209 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_disable_anim_appear Punctuation only-ins replaceWithoutSep\" id=\"209\" data-gr-id=\"209\">project<\/g> a 30 hours multimedia blended course will be developed on  Data Understanding and Communication, accessible through a Moodle portal, that will be linked here from December 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The course will have 3 modules: Problem analysis, Data analysis, Data communication), fulfilling needs of teachers and trainers, tested in CPD adult, VET HE environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It aims to be universal: addressing <g class=\"gr_ gr_10 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Style multiReplace\" id=\"10\" data-gr-id=\"10\">not  only<\/g> teachers and trainers with science or managerial background, <g class=\"gr_ gr_11 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Style multiReplace\" id=\"11\" data-gr-id=\"11\">but  instructors<\/g>, experts who want to transfer those skills to <g class=\"gr_ gr_12 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Style multiReplace\" id=\"12\" data-gr-id=\"12\">their  students<\/g>, e.g.: to be able to work with data and think critically. <g class=\"gr_ gr_13 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Style multiReplace\" id=\"13\" data-gr-id=\"13\">The  partnership<\/g> is set on combining the best practices of analytical <g class=\"gr_ gr_14 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Style multiReplace\" id=\"14\" data-gr-id=\"14\">skills  development<\/g> and assessment with new methods of data communication and <g class=\"gr_ gr_8 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling multiReplace\" id=\"8\" data-gr-id=\"8\">visualisation<\/g>, all backed by modern research (eg. from cognitive psychology). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the course teachers and trainers will gain:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Ability to define Problem: Investigate the problem in order to better understand the goals of the project;<\/li><li>Ability to state and refine the question;<\/li><li>Ability to understand inputs: Data, Concepts, Attributes, Examples;<br>Ability to understand potential knowledge representations of the solution; Tables, Linear Models, Trees, Rules, Clusters;<\/li><li>Ability to get and clean data (find different file types; extract data; organize, merge and manage the data);<\/li><li>Ability to explore\/understand statistics and probability;<\/li><li>Ability to understand data with visualization;<\/li><li>Ability to understand data with descriptive statistics;<\/li><li>Ability to use basic tools to analyze data;<\/li><li>Ability to interpret the results;<\/li><li>Ability to prepare presentation of results;<\/li><li>Ability to create visualisations of the results (including data&nbsp; storytelling and info graphics);<\/li><li>Ability to use basic tools to present data;<\/li><li>Ability to efficiently communicate the results to target audience, with appropriate content, style and attitude.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n<p><!--EndFragment--><br>\n<br>\n<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the DUCK project a 30 hours multimedia blended course will be developed on Data Understanding and Communication, accessible through a Moodle portal, that will be linked here from December 2019.
